Powerfully Grateful I AM: A Journey to Self-Value

I had been questioning my marriage. I wasn’t feeling valued, and I was expecting my husband to value me. The only way I knew to get his attention was by getting pissed off at him for not treating me with loving kindness and appreciation. Well, that didn’t work. There I was, not treating him with loving kindness and appreciation either. I was coming from a place of lack and feeling empty—and something needed to change in me, not him.

I prayed. I asked God for help to cleanse my heart, to show me my flaws. And God answered me. It came in a phone call, an opportunity I had been asking for: someone to value what I had to offer. It came in the form of a job opportunity. Now, for some, a job opportunity isn’t a big deal, but for me, it was. It meant that someone wanted what I had to offer. I felt valued. I mattered. And God wanted me to know that.

The hidden message was that God also wanted me to value myself, to stop looking for my value outside myself. That’s when I wrote my Directional Mantra: POWERFULLY GRATEFUL I AM. I was grateful to know that God was listening to me, grateful that being a woman of integrity is valued, and grateful that I listened to God. Being grateful brought me to the place of valuing myself.

At first, I didn’t feel very grateful for the situation I was in, but I knew gratitude was important. I knew that’s who I wanted to be. Directional Mantras give me the belief to become the person I want to BE even when I don’t have evidence that’s who I am. I wanted to BE powerfully grateful even when that’s not how I was feeling. With the Directional Mantra in place, a sense of awe came over me—a feeling of being totally valued. And it didn’t come from something outside me; it came from me being POWERFULLY GRATEFUL.

My advice is this: use Directional Mantras. They will change your life for the better. They work!

Gratitude is not just a response to good things happening; it’s a powerful state of being. It reshapes your perspective, bringing clarity, peace, and empowerment. When I embraced gratitude, it became the foundation for how I valued myself, my relationship, and my purpose.

I encourage you to create your own Directional Mantras. Decide who you want to BE. Speak it into existence, even when you don’t feel like that’s who you are yet. Directional Mantras help you align with your higher self, guiding you toward a life filled with meaning and fulfillment.

POWERFULLY GRATEFUL I AM isn’t just a mantra for me; it’s a way of life. It’s a reminder that my value doesn’t come from anyone else. It comes from me knowing who I am and being grateful for the journey of becoming my best self. Gratitude truly is transformative.
